24/7 Monitoring and Managed Services: Your systems stay under watch, even while you sleep.
We monitor your servers, applications and services around the clock and detect potential issues before they affect your users.

24/7 Monitoring and Managed ServicesIn short
24/7 server monitoring and managed services means your servers, applications and services are watched around the clock, issues are detected before users are affected, and incidents are handled within response times defined in an SLA. At CoreTechs we set up the monitoring stack, tune alert rules to your business, respond to incidents and run a root cause analysis after each one. You get a clear view of your systems through monthly reports without building a separate operations team.
Scope
Scope
- End-to-end application performance monitoring (APM)
- Centralized log management
- Custom monitoring dashboards
- Alerting by email, SMS and phone
Service level
- Response times defined by SLA
- Helpdesk and ticket management
- Post-incident root cause analysis
Deliverables
- Live monitoring dashboard
- Monthly availability and incident report
Who is it for?
- E-commerce, finance, logistics and manufacturing businesses whose revenue or operations depend on systems that must stay up
- Companies that learn about outages from customers or field staff rather than spotting them first
- Organizations without their own on-call team for nights and weekends, or that want to take this load off their team
- Teams checking logs scattered across servers, clouds and applications with no single monitoring dashboard
- Businesses that commit to availability targets for customers or internal users and need to document them
How we work
Inventory and criticality analysis
Together we list the servers, applications, databases, external services and business-critical flows (payments, login, orders) to be monitored. For each component we define what counts as a real incident and who should be notified.
Monitoring stack setup
We set up metrics, logs and application performance monitoring (APM), and add external checks to see your systems from the user's perspective. If you already have tools in place, we prefer to integrate them rather than replace them.
Alert rules and escalation
To prevent alert fatigue, thresholds are tuned against real usage data. Notifications by email, SMS and phone call, an on-call rotation and an escalation chain are defined by severity.
Response and incident management
When an alert fires, the on-call engineer verifies the incident, takes first action according to a written runbook and informs you through the agreed channel. Tickets are logged in the helpdesk.
Root cause analysis and reporting
After every significant incident we share in writing what happened, why it happened and what will be done to prevent a repeat. The monthly report covers availability, incidents, response times and improvement recommendations.
How long does it take?
How long it takes to bring monitoring online depends on the number of systems, the state of your current logging and metrics, how quickly access is granted and how many custom alert rules are needed. After a free 30-minute initial call, we usually start discovery within a week. Once setup is complete, the service continues as a monthly package under our SLA-based maintenance and support model.
Phases
- DiscoverySystem inventory, critical business flows, existing tools and SLA expectations are defined.
- SetupMonitoring agents, log collection, external checks and dashboards are rolled out.
- Tuning periodAlert thresholds are fine-tuned with real data, noisy alerts are removed and runbooks are written.
- Ongoing operations24/7 monitoring, incident response, monthly reporting and regular improvement reviews.
What drives the cost?
24/7 monitoring and managed services are priced as a monthly package. The package fee depends on the scope of monitored systems and the committed response level. We share a budget range in the initial call and a firm quote after discovery.
| Factor | Effect on cost |
|---|---|
| Number of servers, applications and services | More components in scope means more setup, alert rules and monitoring effort. |
| Response time commitment | Shorter response times and active 24/7 response require more on-call capacity than a notification-only model. |
| Response scope | Detection and notification only, first response, or full resolution responsibility each set a different package level. |
| Log volume and retention | High log volume and long retention requirements increase storage and infrastructure costs. |
| Environment diversity | Monitoring on-premises servers, multiple clouds and specialized systems such as SAP together requires extra integration. |
| Reporting and compliance needs | Detailed reports for regulators or customers require additional preparation effort. |

Example solution scenario
Seeing issues before customers do
Representative scenario, not a real client project.
- Profile
- A retail business running its website, mobile app backend and ERP integration on separate servers, with no on-call team of its own.
- Need
- Outages were usually discovered through customer complaints. A database disk filled up overnight and went unnoticed until morning, halting the order flow for hours. With logs scattered across servers, finding the cause took a long time.
- Approach
- Critical business flows (payment, orders, stock sync) and every component they depend on were inventoried.
- Metrics, logs and external checks were brought together in a single monitoring dashboard.
- Thresholds were defined to warn before problems hit, covering disk usage, response time and error rates.
- An on-call rotation, escalation chain and runbooks for common incidents were prepared.
- A root cause analysis followed each incident, with permanent fixes planned.
- Technologies
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- Grafana Loki
- OpenTelemetry
- Alertmanager
- Outcome
- Potential issues are now mostly caught before users are affected. During night-time incidents the on-call engineer steps in and the business is informed right away through the agreed channel. Centralized logs make root causes easier to find, and monthly reports allow infrastructure investments to be planned with data.
Frequently asked questions
What happens when an alert fires in the middle of the night?
The alert goes to the on-call engineer, who verifies the incident and takes first action according to the relevant runbook. Depending on severity, the people you designate are notified by email, SMS or phone. Once the incident is closed, a written summary and, if needed, a root cause analysis are shared.
What does the SLA define?
The SLA sets out which systems are in scope, incident severity levels, the response time for each level, communication channels and reporting frequency. We agree on these values with you during discovery based on how critical each system is to your business.
Do we have to replace our current monitoring tools?
No. If your existing tools meet the need, we configure and integrate them. We fill any gaps with open-source tools and only recommend a change when the reason is clear.
Do you only monitor, or do you also fix the problem?
It depends on the package you choose. You can pick detection and notification only, first response, or a model where we take responsibility until the issue is resolved. For issues caused by application code, we can bring in our software team as well.
How is access to our systems secured?
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is signed before the service starts. Access is granted through individual, role-based accounts with the least privilege required, and all access is logged. Depending on your needs, methods such as VPN or one-way data collection can be used.
Can you monitor cloud and on-premises servers together?
Yes. We can bring AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and your on-premises servers into a single monitoring dashboard. Specialized systems such as SAP can also be covered together with our SAP Basis team.
What happens to the monitoring setup if we end the service?
Monitoring configurations, dashboards and runbooks are documented. When the service ends, we hand them over to your team or your new provider through an orderly transition.
